Walk-in-the-Wild

Walk-in-the-Wild that combines ecological/environmental teaching with Judaism and is suitable for people of all ages.  On a Walk-in-the Wild we explore the similarities between adaptive camouflage for plants and animals and mystical aspects of the aleph-bet and the Torah; study animal tracks as a way to teach about halacha and many more activities.  Like on all BBA programs we also examine Jewish eco-theological sources along with the teachings of John Muir, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Aldo Leopold, Rachel Carson, Bill McKibben and others.  This program is easily adapted to meet a wide range of age groups, from older school age students to adults.

This is portable program that can take place in any park or a large wood lot
. There is nothing like a trip into the outdoors for spiritual renewal.  These ooh, ahh walks are like a mini summer camp experience squeezed into a few hours:  Intense, invigorating, educational and fun!
